Each Spring the Dallas Arboretum holds a Dallas Blooms festival. An incredible number and variety of flowering plants are on display, as well as all of the trees, shrubs and vines that are in bloom. These are some images from the 2000 "Dallas Blooms" event:
In the late 1980’s I had the fortunate opportunity to travel to the Far East on a business trip. The locations I saw included the Beijing area of China, Thailand and Hong Kong. These are some of the images that I took on that trip:
The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area experienced a record-breaking snowstorm on February 12, 2010. Some parts of the region saw 10 – 12 inches of snow accumulation in 24 hours. Here are some photos taken in Cedar Creek Lake area:
Philmont Scout Ranch is a large, rugged, mountainous ranch located near the town of Cimarron, New Mexico, covering approximately 137,500 acres of wilderness in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of the Rocky Mountains of northern New Mexico. I went there with my son on a two-week trek in 2011. These are some images from that trek:
