I grew up in Mobile, Alabama. These are photographs I took around the area. The water views were taken on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, where I enjoyed all of my summers during my high school and college years.
So it’s March 2 and we’re currently experiencing thunder-sleet. Here’s remembering past, and thinking ahead to future, warmer days!
My son is a midshipman at the United States Naval Academy who will be graduating this May, 2014. Early in his time at the Academy, we attended a Parents’ Weekend that took place on September 21-23, 2012 at the Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. These are images taken during that weekend.
In the late 1980’s I had the fortunate opportunity to travel to the Far East on a business trip. The locations I saw included the Beijing area of China, Thailand and Hong Kong. These are some of the images that I took on that trip:
The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area experienced a record-breaking snowstorm on February 12, 2010. Some parts of the region saw 10 – 12 inches of snow accumulation in 24 hours. Here are some photos taken in Cedar Creek Lake area:
Philmont Scout Ranch is a large, rugged, mountainous ranch located near the town of Cimarron, New Mexico, covering approximately 137,500 acres of wilderness in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of the Rocky Mountains of northern New Mexico. I went there with my son on a two-week trek in 2011. These are some images from that trek:
